Welcome to Rights In Action Cairns – What we do

Rights in Action is a non-profit, organisation that provides independent advocacy for people with disabilities who are in vulnerable situations.

We are completely on the side of the person with a disability and will support them where needed.

Rights in Action supports people where we believe an individual has been taken advantage of or their rights have been infringed upon because of their disability.

Rights in Action provides advocacy assistance to people with disabilities who live in Cairns, Yarrabah, Mareeba and Atherton.

Rights In Action Incorporated is an independent advocacy agency for people with a disability, and part of the National Disability Advocacy Program funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, and the State Government Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors and Queensland Health.
